Queen's Council on the Arts' High School to Art School Summer 2019

The High School to Art School program is a free visual arts portfolio development program that provides qualified high school sophomores, juniors and seniors with the art skills training, mentorship, essay writing techniques, college application assistance and financial aid planning necessary to gain acceptance into competitive art colleges.

The Summer “Intensive” Session is a great opportunity for students to dive into a month and half of art-making in an immersive setting that enables students to explore observational drawing in graphite, charcoal, and ink, as well as a variety of other media including painting, collage-making, and printmaking. Ideal candidates are rising juniors and seniors.

The Summer Session includes observational drawing and concept development, visiting artist workshops, field trips, career information day and student exhibition. Application is due June 1st, and applications will be notified week of June 3, 2019.
