The 2019 Young Exhibition Makers (Y.Ex) cohort is accepting submissions from teenage artists from the East Flatbush, East New York and greater Brooklyn area. Y.Ex will curate an exhibition to be presented in the main entrance of Kings County Hospital this June, 2019.
New York City based teens age 13-19 are eligible to submit. Each person may submit up to 3 pieces. The Y.Ex cohort is interested in artwork related to the following themes: police brutality and government oppression, mental health, identity, human rights, peace, and people of color.
All pieces submitted will be showcased in an online gallery, and those selected for the exhibition will also be awarded a $20 Blick Art Supplies gift certificate. The deadline to apply is Friday March 29 2019 at 11:59pm.
