ARTCENTER FOR TEENS
ArtCenter for Teens is a program from ArtCenter College of Design. Each Summer term is 10 weeks long. During the Summer, they offer three options:
1) Ten-week Saturday classes (3 hour classes in morning 9 am or afternoon 1 pm)
2) Five-day Summer Workshops on Monday – Friday (9 am – 4 pm)
3) Four-week Summer Intensives on Monday – Friday (9 am – 4:30 pm)
A scholarship is available for any one of these options.
APPLYING FOR A SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship deadline is Thursday, April 6, 2017. Classes meet in June, July, and August, depending on the class.
Each applicant must submit:
1. A completed registration form with annual household income (attached), and
2. Either a portfolio of work (at least 6-10 samples of work) or a letter of recommendation (1st-time Teens students only)
Scholarship Note: They award full scholarships that cover the tuition of one 10-week course, five-day workshop, or four-week Summer Intensive. And some students who apply for a scholarship to the Summer Intensive may be assessed by our Scholarship Committee as a better fit for a 10-week course or workshop. They award the “best fit” course for each scholarship student based on their portfolio and experience.
If you are declined for a scholarship, you may still have the option of paying to enroll in a course. Average tuition is $300 for a ten-week course, $400 for a five-day Summer Workshop, and $1700 for a four-week Summer Intensive.

A free shuttle runs between campuses. South Campus is next to the Metro Gold Line’s FILLMORE stop.
Most course options meet at South Campus, including allMonday – Friday workshops and Summer Intensives.
