The Summer “Intensive” Session is a great opportunity for students to dive into a month and half of art-making in an immersive setting that enables students to explore observational drawing in graphite, charcoal, and ink, as well as a variety of other media including painting, collage-making, and printmaking. Applications are due June 1st.
Applications are open for NYU's High School Summer Art Intensive. High school students going into their sophomore, junior, or senior year may apply. Program dates: July 7th-August 3rd. Early acceptance deadline: April 1st Final deadline: April 15th.
This is a paid internship opportunity for students who will be rising juniors or rising seniors during the summer of the internship and who either reside in or attend a high school or home school in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut. The program allows students to connect with arts, museum, and creative professionals as they develop professional skills, network, and gain work experience.
Young New York artists between 10 and 24 years old that explore issues of policing, criminal justice, and police-community relations in their visual arts (photography, painting, graphic design, illustration, or video) can submit their artwork. Email images of work or a link to the video and artist statement to youthsummit@ccrb.nyc.gov by February 1, 2019.
