Urban Word NYC Teen Poetry Slam honors all styles of poetry, spoken word, hip-hop and manifesto. To qualify, teens must be between the ages of 13-19. First preliminary slam is March 4th, 6PM-8PM at Dweck Center, Brooklyn Public Library.

The Summer “Intensive” Session is a great opportunity for students to dive into a month and half of art-making in an immersive setting that enables students to explore observational drawing in graphite, charcoal, and ink, as well as a variety of other media including painting, collage-making, and printmaking. This is a paid internship opportunity for students who will be rising juniors or rising seniors during the summer of the internship and who either reside in or attend a high school or home school in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut. The program allows students to connect with arts, museum, and creative professionals as they develop professional skills, network, and gain work experience.
