A Film Festival Featuring Students in Special Education

The Film Festival from MARS aims to promote filmmaking as a vehicle for meeting the educational, emotional, social and developmental needs of students. Engaging children in filmmaking lets them create culture, information and entertainment so their perspectives and talents can be celebrated!

  • Deadline to submit is May 11th - click  the"Submit"button below to  apply via WithoutABox.com

  • Student participation must account for at least 50% of production

  • Student participants  must be in grades K-12

  • At least 50% of students involved must have an IEP or receive services as an English Language Learner                           

  • Film duration must be under 7 minutes 

  • Film must be available on vimeo.com

  • Documentary, animation, narrative and experimental films are welcome. 

  • Students' guardians must sign a media consent form in order for children to appear on film.
