Free Game Design Lab at the Museum of the Moving Image

Spring Recess 2017 | April 10-13, 10:30am-4:00pm

Spend your Spring recess at Game Design Lab, a unique four-day program for high school students at Museum of the Moving Image. The Lab is completely free.

When & Where

Game Design Lab meets April 10-13 (Monday-Thursday) from 10:30am-4:00pm each day. The Lab is held at the Museum. Participants will receive an 8-ride Metrocard. Participants are responsible for bringing or purchasing their own lunch. Snacks will be provided.

How To Apply

The Lab is open to high school students currently enrolled in 9th-12th grade at a New York City school. No previous game design experience is necessary. To apply, complete the online application before Monday, March 20, 2017.

What You'll Do

DISCOVER some of the newest independent games being created; play and discuss classic games; learn what makes your favorite game fun.

DESIGN modifications to your favorite games to make them your own; collaborate with Lab partners to develop creative solutions; play test your ideas.

CONNECT with professional game developers; explore college and career opportunities in game design; gain behind-the-scenes access to games in the Museum’s collection; network with peers from other schools.
