Bronx High School interns needed for BronxNet's NY EMMY nominated OPEN 2.0

BronxNet is seeking responsible, reliable, and enthusiastic high school interns interested in production and media. The internship starts on November 5, 2018 at the BronxNet Studios on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 PM-5:30 PM. To get involved, students or teachers may contact internships@bronxnet.org.

The Museum of the Moving Image has an open call for submissions from NYC teens, ages 13-19, who created or helped create a short film. Applications are opened from February 2 until March 2, 2019; filmmakers will be notified by March 9.

Call for Art - "Speak Up, Speak Out" Youth Summit

Young New York artists between 10 and 24 years old that explore issues of policing, criminal justice, and police-community relations in their visual arts (photography, painting, graphic design, illustration, or video) can submit their artwork. Students 14 years or older currently enrolled in high school, community school, college, or homeschooled are eligible to enter. Students need to submit an original photo, artwork or computer graphics for the front of a greeting card. Deadline for submissions is March 1st, 2019.

Vans Custom Culture Contest is a national high school customization competition using blank Vans shoes to be customized around specific themes.
 Grand Prize winner receives $75,000 for their school’s art program.
